How to get there

Plane

The best way to get to Győr, Hungary by plane is to fly to Vienna International Airport and then take a train or bus to Győr. From the airport, take the City Airport Train to Vienna's central station, Wien Hauptbahnhof, and then take a train to Győr. Alternatively, you can take a bus from the airport to the city center of Vienna and then take a bus or train to Győr from there.

Car

If you are driving to Győr, Hungary, the easiest way to get there is by taking the M1 motorway from either Budapest or Vienna. The journey should take around an hour and a half from either city. Once you arrive in Győr, there are plenty of car parks available throughout the city.

Train

There are several train options for getting to Győr, Hungary. You can take a direct train from Vienna's central station, Wien Hauptbahnhof, or from Budapest's Keleti station. There are also regional trains that run between nearby towns and Győr. Once you arrive at Győr's train station, you can take a bus or taxi to your final destination.

Boat

Unfortunately, there is no direct boat route to Győr, Hungary. The city is not located on a major river, and so there is no direct waterway access. The nearest major ports are in Budapest and Vienna, both of which offer a range of river cruises and boat tours. From either city, you can take a train or bus to Győr.
