Fun and Festivities

  • Start the day off with a hearty breakfast at Juan In A Million, a classic Tex-Mex joint that'll fuel you up for the adventures ahead.
  • Take a stroll around Ladybird Lake, a gorgeous spot for a leisurely morning walk or jog. You might even spot some kayakers, paddleboarders, or stand-up-paddleboarders out on the water.
  • Head to 6th Street for some day drinking and bar-hopping. Be sure to check out the famous Driskill Hotel, which is rumored to be haunted, and the funky Container Bar made from stacked shipping containers.
  • Grab a late lunch at Franklin Barbecue, arguably the best barbecue joint in town. Be prepared to wait in line for a few hours, but trust us, it's worth it.
  • Spend the evening at Elysium, a popular nightclub that's perfect for dancing the night away. If you're lucky, you might catch one of their retro-themed dance nights or a live band performance.
  • End the day with a nightcap at Whisler's, a hip mezcal bar with a speakeasy vibe. Their cocktail menu is extensive and impressive, and their patio is the perfect place to unwind and recount the day's adventures.
