The easiest way to get to Sliven is by flying to Burgas airport and taking a 2-hour drive to Sliven. Alternatively, you can fly to Sofia airport and take a 3-hour drive to Sliven.

Car

The quickest and most convenient way to get to Sliven is by car. From Sofia, take the A4 motorway which goes all the way to Sliven within 3 hours. From Burgas, take the A3 motorway north towards Sliven, which takes approximately 2 hours.

Train

Sliven can be reached by train from Sofia, but the journey takes around 7 hours. Once you arrive in Sliven railway station, you can take a taxi or a bus to your destination.

Boat

There are no direct boats to Sliven as the city is located inland. The nearest ports are Burgas and Varna, where you can take a bus or taxi to Sliven. However, the boat ride along the Black Sea coast can be a scenic experience.
