The best way to get to Assisi by plane is to fly into Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi - Umbria International Airport (PEG). From the airport, you can take a taxi or a bus to Assisi.


Driving to Assisi is a convenient option, especially if you want to explore the surrounding areas. You can take the A1 highway and exit at Orte. From there, follow the signs to Assisi.


Although there is no train station in Assisi itself, you can take a train to the nearby city of Foligno. From Foligno, you can then take a bus or a taxi to Assisi.


As Assisi is an inland city, there are no direct boat routes. However, you can travel to the nearby city of Ancona by ferry from several international destinations. From Ancona, you can then take a train or rent a car to reach Assisi.


To reach Assisi by bus, you can take a direct bus from major Italian cities such as Rome, Florence, or Perugia. The bus will take you directly to Assisi's bus station in Piazza Matteotti.
