The best way to get to Weimar, Germany by plane is to fly into Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ) and then take a train from Leipzig Hauptbahnhof to Weimar Hauptbahnhof.


Driving to Weimar is convenient, and the best route is to take the A4 highway to the Weimar exit. From there, follow the signs to the city center.


If you prefer to travel by train, you can take an international train to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof and then transfer to a regional train to Weimar Hauptbahnhof.


Although Weimar is not directly accessible by boat, you can take a scenic river cruise along the Elbe River to Dresden or Magdeburg, and then continue your journey to Weimar by train or bus.


To travel by bus, you can take a long-distance bus to Jena Paradiesbahnhof and then transfer to a regional bus that will take you to Weimar Busbahnhof.
