The best way to get to Tawang by plane is to fly to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati and then take a cab to reach Tawang. From Guwahati airport, Tawang is approximately 480 km away and it takes around 14 hours to reach by road.
The best way to reach Tawang by car is by taking the Tezpur-Bomdila-Tawang route. The journey takes approximately 13-14 hours to cover a distance of around 340 km.
