The best way to get to Pompeii, Italy by plane is to fly into Naples International Airport (NAP) and then take a taxi or bus to Pompeii.
Car
If you are driving, the best way to reach Pompeii is to take the A3 highway from Naples and follow the signs to Pompeii. There are parking lots available near the entrance of the archaeological site.
Train
To get to Pompeii by train, you can take a train from Rome to Naples, and then transfer to the Circumvesuviana train line which will take you directly to Pompeii.
Boat
Although Pompeii is not directly accessible by boat, you can reach the nearby city of Naples by ferry or cruise ship and then use one of the previously mentioned modes of transport to reach Pompeii.
Bus
There are several bus companies that operate routes to Pompeii. One option is to take a bus from Naples to Pompeii, with buses departing from the Naples bus station, Piazza Garibaldi.
