How to get there

Plane

The best way to reach Vicenza by plane is to land at Venice Marco Polo Airport and then take a taxi or a direct train from Venice to Vicenza. The journey takes around 1.5 hours and the train station is located within the airport grounds.

Car

Driving to Vicenza is a great option, especially if you want to explore the surrounding countryside. Vicenza is easily accessible from the A4 motorway, which connects Milan to Venice. Once you reach Vicenza, you can park your car at one of the many paid parking lots located throughout the city.

Train

Vicenza has a well-connected train station, so taking a train is a convenient option. If you're coming from within Italy, take a high-speed train to Vicenza station. If you're coming from Austria, Switzerland or Germany, you'll need to switch trains in Verona or Venice.

Boat

Since Vicenza is an inland city, there are no direct boat services to reach it. However, if you're traveling along the coast, you can dock your boat in Venice or Ravenna and then take a taxi or train to Vicenza.

Bus

There are direct buses from Venice to Vicenza that take around 1.5 hours or from Verona to Vicenza that takes around an hour. The bus station in Vicenza is located in the city center, making it easy to reach your destination.
