Train

Sliven can be reached by train from Sofia, but the journey takes around 7 hours. Once you arrive in Sliven railway station, you can take a taxi or a bus to your destination.

Boat

There are no direct boats to Sliven as the city is located inland. The nearest ports are Burgas and Varna, where you can take a bus or taxi to Sliven. However, the boat ride along the Black Sea coast can be a scenic experience.

Bus

There are regular coach services between Sofia and Sliven which take approximately 4-5 hours. There are also direct buses from Burgas and Varna, which take 2-3 hours depending on traffic. The bus station in Sliven is near the city center.
