Plane

The best way to get to Fresno by plane is to fly to Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) from your departure city. Many major airlines such as American, Delta, and United offer direct flights to Fresno from cities across the US.

Car

Driving is an easy way to get to Fresno, and there are several major highways that lead into the city. From the north, take Highway 99 south; from the south, take I-5 north and then Highway 99 north; from the west, take Highway 180 east; from the east, take Highway 168 west.

Train

Unfortunately, there is no train station in Fresno. The closest Amtrak station is in Hanford, about 30 miles away, and they offer a bus connection to Fresno.

Boat

There are no boat options to get to Fresno as it is located far inland and not connected to any major waterways.

Bus

Taking a bus to Fresno is a popular option, especially from cities within California. Greyhound has multiple daily routes to Fresno from cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sacramento. You can also take a local bus operated by the Fresno Area Express (FAX) from neighboring cities like Clovis and Madera.
